The International Field Guide Association (IFGA) sets the benchmark for excellence in field guiding. The IFGA goes beyond evaluating technical skills and theoretical knowledge, and looks at the soft skills that are vital for creating a unique, memorable guest experience that keeps guests coming back.
Skills such as storytelling, multi-generational adaptability, environmental sensitivity, communication excellence, and interpretive knowledge are evaluated, each playing a vital role in crafting meaningful experiences for guests.
IFGA offers three clear levels of certification: IFGA Guide, IFGA Advanced Guide, and IFGA Ambassador. The level awarded depends on a cumulative grade from assessments covering experience, knowledge, technique, and the entire guest experience.
